Ebook About
FBI agent Kate O’Hare and charming criminal Nick Fox race against time to uncover a buried train filled with Nazi gold in this thrilling adventure in the “romantic and gripping” (Good Housekeeping) Fox and O’Hare series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich.Straight as an arrow special agent Kate O’Hare and international criminal Nick Fox have brought down some of the biggest bad guys out there. But now they face their most dangerous foe yet—a vast, shadowy international organization known only as the Brotherhood. Directly descended from the Vatican Bank priests who served Hitler during World War II, the Brotherhood is on a frantic search for a lost train loaded with $30 billion in Nazi gold, untouched for over seventy-five years somewhere in the mountains of Eastern Europe. Kate and Nick know that there is only one man who can find the fortune and bring down the Brotherhood—the same man who taught Nick everything he knows—his father, Quentin. As the stakes get higher, they must also rely on Kate’s own father, Jake, who shares his daughter’s grit and stubbornness. Too bad they can never agree on anything. From a remote monastery in the Swiss Alps to the lawless desert of the Western Sahara, Kate, Nick, and the two men who made them who they are today must crisscross the world in a desperate scramble to stop their deadliest foe in the biggest adventure of their lives.

Book The Bounty: A Novel (A Fox and O'Hare Novel Book 7) Review :

l have followed the Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg novels about the con artist Nicholas Fox and Kate; this plot; co-authored with Steve Hamilton was not at all in the concept of the usual Fox and O'Hare tradition. Very unsatisfactory from the strange plot line that minimizes the Nicolas Fox character line as though it were unimportant. Furthermore, I was unable to get this book in 'large print' which was usually offered by the publisher of the original Fox and O'Hare books. The contribution of Kate's father, a former special forces operative lent much to the plot line was not in evidence. Paired with Steve Hamilton, I didn't recognize this story as a Fox and O'Hare and will be asking for a return voucher and a credit issued to me, a.s.a.p.
I was hoping for a good read, but within the first couple of paragraphs, the book already felt insubstantial and poorly-written.Then, as the ridiculous plot spun out, I kept waiting for an original story, but was left with absurd tourist destinations devoid of any security, characters whose development was watery as pond runoff, fanciful deductions that wanted to be "National Treasure" or "DaVinci Code" but without the fun, bad guys who magically kept popping up at every turn. Then, there was the team of characters whose plausibility dipped below 1%, whose technical skills bordered on silly, whose magical assembly of gear and weaponry hearkened back to a Harry Potter novel, whose character development reminded me of the most empty-skulled meathead in my high school gym class. And by the way, if you're going to steal someone else's book idea (calling Mr. Brown), try to put some originality into it, and don't write a book that wants to be a cheesy TV movie. At least the "National Treasure" guys were interesting; this book wove a romance subplot so juvenile that it drowned in its banality.I gave this steaming pile of prose a fair chance, suffering through 40%; the book had me so irritated at 40% in that I easily decided to abandon it--something I rarely do but had no trouble doing with this steaming pile of prose. As Benjamin Cheever once said, "There is no worse thief than a bad book."
