WOW!!! What a story this was! I read this book in ONE day!! For me, that’s saying a lot. I can’t remember the last time that I did that. There was just so much happening. I just couldn’t stop reading, I was getting dizzy from all the turns this story took but it was never too much. I loved it all!The story is again told mostly in Synthia’s POV but we also get Ryder’s POV now and then too. I really liked Ryder in this story. He’s still very alpha and dominant but he’s also more ‘gentler’ in some way and less colder. But fear not, he’s still a lethal and dangerous Fae warrior. In this story we really get to learn more about the Fae world and more secrets are being revealed.One of the things that I liked a little less was the fact that the characters used a lot of curse words. For me it was sometimes a bit too much. The story gets also steamier and steamier.The big advantage of discovering a series late, is that you don’t have to wait to read the next book!! I love that! Because this story ended with a big cliffhanger!! This bios is the second in the Fae Chronicles and I'm glad that I bought them as a set instead of having to wait for each book because I think that I might have died from the anticipation. This series is so sexy, edgy, nostalgic, magical and terrifying at the same time. These definitely need a seatbelt. This is my reason for giving it a five star rating or higher if I could. I LOVE this series. It's definitely for adults only due to content. Synthia and Adam are finally back in Fairy, due to be married as they think that she is the Light Fairy Queen in waiting and Adam's father (King of the Dark Fae) want an alliance since Synthia called Adam to her (sifted) when she was kidnapped as a child and given to humans to raise her and protect her identity from all Fae, until she returned to Fairy. She sifted Adam to her as a child in her grief and terror of missing her parents and not knowing what was happening to her, so now he's her familiar in accident. This the reason for payback by Adam' s family since Synthia took him from his parent's accident or no, he thinks she owes them. To say much more would give too much away. OMG, you WILL not believe ALL of the things that happen to Synthia and the rest of her family including Ryder and his enforcers as well as the evil Horde King.........
